リーバイスからカメラストラップがリリースされるようです。
香港のNew Mondayという雑誌とのコラボレーションで、ブラックとレッドの2色展開とのこと。

価格は未発表のようです。日本では発売されなそう。。


このNew Mondayという雑誌、エディトリアルがパンチ効いてますがこれが香港スタンダードなんでしょうか。。

One for all you camera lovers..Levi’s and Monday present their collaboration Camera Straps for Spring/Summer 2011. Using materials that you would hope to see from the jeans brand through denim and leather construction with embossed detailing and delicate stitching. New Monday x Levi’s 501 Camera Straps Hypebeast Staff
Hong Kong publication New Monday celebrates “501 Day” with a new set of collaborative camera straps produced by Levi’s. Paying tribute to the brand’s iconic 501 denim, the straps come in two colors featuring either black or red accents. Premium leather detailing juxtaposes nicely against classic raw denim with trademark Levi’s branding finishing off the superb look. Price details haven’t been disclosed but additional looks into the straps are offered here.
香港の雑誌、New Mondayが”501 Day"を祝うべく、リーバイス製のカメラストラップを製作した。
リーバイスのアイコンである501デニムに敬意を表しており、ストラップはブラックとレッドのアクセントが施されたモデルがある。生デニムに装飾された細部ではリーバイスのロゴが素晴らしい見栄えに施された上質なレザーが上手に使われている。値段の詳細は未発表だが、ストラップのその他の詳細なルックはここで確認できる。

Nikeの現CEO、Mark Parkerのオフィス訪問が実現。
オフィスにはKawsやMichael Lauのオブジェやトイなどアートピースと呼んでもよいようなものが所狭しと並んでるようです。

大戦モデルが出来る経緯や、プリシュランクデニムについて言及されています。

⑪Back pocket stitching, banned! During World War II the U.S. government told the company that it could not stitch its “Arcuate” back pocket design on the 501R jeans, because it was decorative and not a functional use of thread, an essential item for the war effort. So, LS&CO. painted the Arcuate stitching on the pockets of the 501R (men’s) and 701R (women’s) jeans “For The Duration” of the war.
バックポケットのステッチがなくなった。第二次世界大戦中、アメリカ政府は501Rジーンズのバックポケットのデザインである”Arcuate"を禁止した。なぜならそれは装飾であり、戦争への協力のための本質的なアイテム、糸としての機能性を持っていなかったためである。よって、リーバイスは”For The Duration（戦争の間）"、501R（メンズ）と701R（レディス）ジーンズのバックポケットにアキュエイトステッチ柄のペイントを施した。

In the early 1960s, Levi Strauss & Co introduced its first preshrunk 501R jean, a new concept for old timers who were used to buying their jeans a few inches too bit to allow for the specially loomed fabric to shrink to fit them.

Vans×Supremeのスイカスニーカー

定番のVans×Supremeのコラボで、The EraとThe Chukkaの2種類のスニーカーが5/28から販売開始。

The Eraはアニマルプリントで3色展開とのことですが、グリーンはスイカみたいです。


The Chukkaはチェックのヒールタブ。

Vans and Supreme present the second collaboration of the season. The Era comes in three colorways with animal print on the canvas upper and leather heel tab. The Chukka comes with a canvas upper, leather lining and leather heel tab detail in several colorways. The two collaborative sneakers will release online and in-store on May 26th and in Japan on May 28th.

The red Tab was added to Levi’sR jeans in 1936 because competitors were mimicking several features, especially the Arcuate, the signature stitching on the back pockets.

リーバイスのサイクリングラインのファイナルデザインが完成

先日のエントリーで紹介した、リーバイスのサイクリングラインですが、ファイナルデザインがあがってきたようです。

バイキングジャケットとハイエンド/ローエンドの511がデリバリーされるとのこと。

511は通常のラインのものより太腿あたりがゆったりしたシルエットになるそうです。


金額については追って発表とのことですが、よさそうですね。
日本では発売されないのでしょうか。

Checking in On the Levi's Viking Denim Jackets in SF Prolly Is Not Probably

Back in mid-April, I sat down with Jared from Levi's and discussed their new commuting cycling line. At that meeting, we sketched out ideas for a Viking denim jacket and when I was in SF last week, I swung through the Levi's Tailor Shop to check in on the progress.

Here are the three final designs for the Levi's Commuting Line. A jacket and two colors of the 511 commuting jeans. Each of these colors will be available in a high-end model and a lower-end model with only a few details offsetting the pricepoints. Before you ask, you can expect these soon! Also, I have a pair of the 511's and they have a lot more room in the thighs than the traditional 511 cuts. After a day or two, they stretched out quite comfortably.
Now back to the Levi's Tailor Shop. Jared and his team have quite the operation there. During the day, they custom assemble various clothing items. Everything from refurbishing vintage jackets and jeans to laptop cases and satchels. I even managed to pick up a denim mechanic's apron.

Their shop is filled with vintage machines, some dating from the 1940's and 1950's.

Yards of fabric, threads and thread-bare flags line the shop's walls.

And when I showed up, this was waiting for me.
Jared worked on discharge-printing the back patch for the custom-made denim jackets.

After one or two runs, we got the mixture just right.

Damn does that look good! We're still working on how many I'll be receiving and placement for other logos but expect these things to be bitchin'! I can't wait to see the first few mock-ups. そのミーティングでは、バイキングデニムジャケットについてのアイディアの概略を説明した。そして、先週サンフランシスコに行った際、リーバイスのTailor Shopに進捗を確認すべく立ち寄った。

これらはリーバイスコミューティングラインの３つのファイナルデザインである。ジャケットとツーカラーの511の小ミューティングジーンズである。ハイエンドとローエンドで多少の小売価格の差はあるものの、どちらも購入可能である。質問する前に、早く発売されることを期待してもらいたい。また、私は511を所有しているが、これら（小ミューティングライン）は通常のものより太腿あたりにより余裕がある。明日か明後日には十分に概要の説明がされるだろう。

さて、Levi's Tailor Shopに戻ろう。Jaredと彼のチームはここで作業をしている。彼らはその日一日中、様々なクロージングアイテムをカスタムしていた。ビンテージジャケットやジーンズからPCケースやかばんが作られていた。私はデニムメカニックエプロンをなんとか手に入れた。
